Pacific Rim :-)

Last week on Friday, I went to Alamanda with my housemates to 'buka puasa' and to watch the new release movie 'Pacific Rim' :-D The movie was awesome and very entertaining...If you're the kind of person who like to watch movies that is packed with action and special effects then this is the movie for you! The action scenes is not boring and 'dry'...Overall, it is a fun movie to watch..Now,here are some information that you need to know when you're watching the movie

Jaegar
Jaegers are a special type of mobile gigantic weapon created by the Jaegar Program when humanity needed to defend themselves againts the kaiju. In order to control a Jaegar,two or more pilots are needed.Jaegers are the Pacific Rim's first and last line of defense against the Kaiju.

Drift
One person alone can't control the Jaegar because the mental strength required to control the Jaegers was too much for a single person to handle. Therefore, the technology for the Drift was created. The Drift is a process that two jaegar pilots undergo to synchronize with the Jaegar. This process allows the two pilots to act as one to effectively fight the kaiju.

Kaiju
The kaiju are the antagonist in this film.They are a race of gigantic amphibious creatures that originates from a portal beneath the pacific ocean and is genetically engineered by an extradimensional race of sentient beings.The kaiju is used as biological weapons with the purpose to exterminate the human race and to contaminate the Earth.

Classic Movies: Ghost(1990 film)

Hey there! :-) I am trying something new here..uh as stated stated above this post is about classic movie and this is the first among many :-) So today I am going to talk about the film GHOST.Now, I know what you are probably thinking 'owh the poster is a bit.......' Well I am here to tell you that it suits with the movie :-)
So for those of you who have not seen this movie, GHOST is an American romntic fantasy film and was the highest-grossing film of 1990. Eventhough I was not born yet but it is one my favourite movie of all time because it touched my heart :'-) yes I did cry..so what..A real man is not afraid to cry right? ^_^

Synopsis
Sam Wheat(Patrick Swayze) ,a banker, and Molly Jensen (Demi Moore), a talented potter, are a loving couple who move into a New York City apartment. At work, Sam discovers a major discrepancy in multiple bank accounts and confides in his best friend and colleague Carl Bruner (Tony Goldwyn). Carl offers to investigate the matter, but Sam decides to investigate himself. Later that night, Sam and Molly are attacked in the dark alley by armed thug Willie Lopez and Sam is killed by a gunshot during a struggle with Willie. Sam's ghost arises from his dead body, which lies next to the distraught Molly. He gradually realizes that he is a ghost whose presence cannot be seen or heard. Sam met Oda Mae Brown (Whoopi Goldberg), a local con artist posing as a gypsy and realize that she can communicate with him but she can only hear him not see him. Sam convinces Oda Mae to warn Molly that she is in danger as Wilie is planning to return to the apartment but Molly has a difficult time trying to trust a stranger.

Sam then met a ghost at the subway where he learns to control his abilities.As time goes by, Sam founds out that Willie is working for Carl that the attack was an attempt by Carl to acquire Sam's security codes as Carl was involved in a money laundering scheme.Oda Mae with Sam's guidance impersonates the owner of Carl's fake bank account, closes the account, and gives its $4 million contents to a homeless shelter. Carl panicked when he finds out that the fake account is closed and empty. He and Willie goes to Oda Mae home and tries to threatened her but luckily Sam was there to defend her. Panicked, due to being consistently push by an invisible force(Sam) Willie runs to the street an eventually ran into an accident which cause him to become a ghost and is dragged by a group of howling demons emerge from the shadows and pull a screaming Willie into the shadows, while Sam watches in horror.

Sam and Oda Mae returns to Molly's apartment to warn him about Carl but still is not convinces that Sam is still alive.Sam then did something(no, not that thing) and to convinces Molly.Molly then opens the door and let Oda Mae in.Sam 'borrowing' Oda Mae's body shared a passionate moment with Molly.Carl then breaks in by breaking the door of the apartment, Sam tried to defend them but he was too weak because he used his energy when he possess Oda Mae. Sam then regains his strenght and protects both Molly and Oda Mae.In the end, Carl is accidentally killed by a falling broken window and he shared the same fate as Willie. In the end, Molly is able to hear Sam and both Molly and Oda Mae is finally able to SEE Sam. Sam and Molly shared a kiss and he says goodbye to both Molly and Oda Mae before 'crossing over'
